A creative proven in testing gets moved into a scaling campaign, and performance quietly disappoints, despite nothing visibly wrong with the creative itself.
Graduate a proven creative into scaling by its post identifier, never by rebuilding it from the same brief. Exclude existing buyers from every scaling audience as a standing rule, not a one-off checklist item. Before reading any creative's result as a loss, confirm delivery status; only one of the platform's three delivery states, learning, learning limited, active, counts as a fair test of the creative.
If a creative that tested well is underperforming once scaled, check first whether it was rebuilt rather than graduated by post ID, whether existing buyers are excluded from its audience, and whether it actually reached active delivery status before being judged. All three are structural causes that look identical to a creative simply stopping working.
